Night 3
Finally.
I finally get to be me again. I explained what's going on to Skylar and treated her to some extra vitae for her troubles. She assured me that she would do what damage control she could when Alecia comes out to play. Alecia.... Haven't thought about her in quite some time. She was the poor sap Virág had on hand when he Embraced me. I was so ravenously hungry that I drained her dry. Now that I think about it, I can still hear her final heartbeat. Enough reminiscing.
I tried calling Michael, but he wasn't available. Left him a message requesting he call me back when he can. I then called the Professor and picked her up to take her to the casino. Chin met us there. Mental note: Chin needs new clothes. The four of us went into the casino and, in our own way, searched for information on our target. Skylar went upstairs to passively listen in on what she could. She noted that there were some Kindred there planning something, but she couldn't get a good vantage point before being noticed and they moved on. I tried my luck at just asking around, but evidently these less enlightened sheep were too scared of my physical appearance to offer up any real information.
It was then that the Professor had come back inside stating over the phone that someone just tried to drug her. I made note of the individual she identified as the predator and met him at the door. I simply wanted to let him know that there would be no need to up his dose next time as my friend has an unusually high tolerance to tranquilizers. As expected, he denied the accusation. Poor sap needs to work on his lying under pressure - he was unbelievably bad at his denial. I restated my warning in hopes that he doesn't kill his next mark. After reentering the casino, I made my way to the lounge to introduce myself to the individual the predator nodded to as he left. Turns out that Ian's family owns the establishment. Quite a hospitable person. He entertained my conversation and even gave me the information I was seeking in exchange for some free ink work. The way he kept mentioning the Top Shelf, I had to see what it was, so with Skylar at my side, I excused myself from Ian's table and went to the bar and ordered some wine. The girl behind the bar needs more education on wines as she couldn't identify one that had an earthy taste. Skylar had to clarify for me. She offered a wine, but when I mentioned Ian's suggestion that I try something from the Top Shelf, she went to the back and came back with a very old looking dark wine bottle. The vitae that was in that glass was a very potent vintage indeed. At $500 a serving - it was worth it. I went into the bathroom and altered my face before going back out to the main floor. Ian most definitely knows about Kindred. I wonder who he belongs to. I will have to pursue that route at another time though.
Armed with the information of when our mark would arrive and which table he'd be going to, we simply waited. As if by clockwork, he and his crew entered the door just as Ian had told me. With our target in place, now the task was to just get him alone and then secure him. We gave Chin the first crack at it and it didn't fail as much as it seemed. The information gathered would be of use to the Sheriff. Seeing that Chin was not going to be successful in getting our target away from his crew, I requested the Professor to make her move. Using abilities only available to those cursed with the fractured mind of Malkav, she got him away from his group quicker than expected. Not wanting her to go at it alone, I discreetly shifted my appearance to look like her twin. I didn't have time to alter my voice box, so I just kept quiet.
Thinking he had just landed twins, he took us upstairs to his private suite. It was there that the Professor distracted him with her womanly curves. I used that time to get his shirt off him so I could get the needed skin contact so I could disable him with minimal fuss. He bit into her neck faster than I was expecting so I had to change plans. Breaking a chair, I staked him through the back. I was then able to meld his arms to his body and, after removing him from the Professor's neck, sealed his mouth.
Skylar had the car out front as requested and Chin used his Canite gifts to catch the falling body as the Professor and I pushed him out the 3rd story window. Chin then very promptly got him into the back seat of the car. The Professor decided to climb out the window as I walked out the front door. Chin took his bicycle and the rest of us took the car back to the holding facility below the club. We notified the Sheriff of the package acquisition and drop off. With him secured, we went our own ways to feed, or whatever else needed to be done in the few short hours before dawn.
