Continuing to research the rune

"Just under a year from what I've been told.  The Anarchs wish to remove the Camarilla from the city and the cultists want to, apparently, awaken some ancient Malkavian."

Virag nods. "The anarchists have been in this city for decades. Michael and his family have maintained a peace in the territory for generations. With the rare exception, the kindred of Portland have been created here, this is home. Why would unrest start now?" Virag will look to the book binding again for a moment.
"This is not my area of interest Henry, forgive my ponderings. It would seem I have been tempted by a puzzle created by a master of manipulation and redirection. I am confident this is not what has brought you to my door. What is it you wished to discuss with me?"

"I strongly believe the current situation is because of the cultists.  It seems the leader, or higher ranking official, of the cult has assumed a leadership role in the local Anarch movement.  They're using the Anarchs as a smoke screen of sorts to obfuscate their actions."

Henry will look at the book that's caught Virág's attention before continuing.

"I'm here tonight for the same thing that's brought me here for the last few months, your wisdom, guidance, and knowledge."

Henry will pause for a second gauging the look on his sire's face.

"And to try and dig more information out of the cultist we dropped off the other night about the rune and its correct application method.  Information has come to light that it's most likely incomplete.  There may be an additional element to the writing of it that can prevent the madness from taking hold."

Virag will observe you but say nothing when you investigate. He will eventually nod after a considerable silence.

"I agree. You asked me to research the rune itself, not the ritual which binds it. In my haste I trusted the rune to follow the rules of mages not of reality and madness." Virag will travel to the bookshelves and remove the book which has caught his eye and hand it to you.
The book appears hand written like many in his collection. The binding is leather, made in the way of ancient bibles. You can smell the blood in the ink and the char from the boiled fat creating the oil and glue in the leather. Inside the cover in eligant script is the word Descendent.
"Perhaps the words of my sire will be of some use to you. As for the mortal, I have removed his eyes and sent then to an acquaintance in New York. I expect to hear from him tomorrow evening. The specimen is in the laboratory, Jeffery can escort you. I must continue my meditations before I return to research."

Henry takes in the weight of the level of trust Virág is displaying towards him.  Giving over a tome such as this must be hard for his Sire.  Henry clutches the tome to his chest.

"Thank you for your generosity, Sir.  I shall take great pains to keep this from others and will return it as soon as possible."

When Virág mentions he needs to return to his meditations, Henry stands.

"Thank you again for your Hospitality sir.  I can only hope to extend the same to you one night."

He then bows and follows Jeffery to where the cultist is being stored.  Once there he will attempt to get its attention.

"Good evening.  I do hope your stay here hasn't been overly traumatizing."

Virag's look is two fold, one of approval and one so terrifying your beast squirms uneasily, as if it knows the punishment for disappointment will be eternal. Virag will not move until after you depart with Jeffery.

You will find the specimen in the lab as promised. He is naked and sitting rigidly in a chair with no noticeable bindings. His eye sockets are hollow but otherwise he appears unharmed. A soft humming noise comes from a box on the counter near him. Written on the side are the words "LIVE BEES". Jeffery will leave you with nothing more than "I'll be outside the door if you have need Sir."

The specimen will speak through a dry labored breath. "There is nothing more I can tell you..."
